Olivia Holt is leaving Kickin’ It to star in her own new series I Didn’t Do It.
It’s A Laugh Productions and Poor Soul Productions have begun production on the fourth season of the hit Disney XD comedy series “Kickin’ It”. Casting calls have gone out for new recurring roles, and will continue throughout the season for various characters. In addition to the actor casting calls, the extras are being hired on an ongoing basis. Disney XD announced that the show would be picked up for a fourth season back in August, 2013. Kickin’ It is the network’s highest-rated series in total viewers, and season 3 outperformed Season 2 in all ratings by double-digits. Kickin’ It season 4 is scheduled to air in 2014.

Disney casting directors are searching for two young actors to play lead roles in the Walt Disney Pictures/Lucasfilm “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Six casting director meet-and-greet sessions have been scheduled across the United States and United Kingdom to scout talent for two lead roles, one young female and on young male. In addition to the in-person casting director meet-and-greet sessions, audition video submissions are being accepted at the only official casting webpage that has been set up by Disney Casting director Maryellen Aviano.

Disney XD has given the green light to begin production on a brand new half-hour comedy series pilot titled “Neckpee Island”. The casting directors have now sent out casting calls for series regulars and guest starring roles, for both child roles between 12-14 years old, and for adults of various ages. The extras will be cast throughout production, which will begin in mid-October, 2013. There will be a fairly large amount of kids cast as extras to play middle school students. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles.

Syncopy and Atlas Entertainment in association with DC Entertainment and Batfilm Productions are now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures action adventure sci-fi feature film “Man of Steel 2″. This is the current working title of the film. Two tentative titles for the new film were suggested by the writer – “Batman vs. Superman” or “Superman vs. Batman”. Studio-level casting is underway for the lead roles in the film. Additional casting will take place at a later date with an independent contracted casting director. The stand-ins for the lead actors, as well as general extras and featured background actors will be cast throughout production in the locations where filming will take place.

Disney Channel has given a series order to “Girl Meets World,” a spinoff of the hugely popular 90’s ABC television sitcom “Boy Meets World”. The show, which will premiere sometime in 2014, is a continuation of where “Boy Meets World” left off but jumps ahead to present day. Casting for recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day players for “Girl Meets World” will get underway soon. The extras and stand-ins will be hired throughout production on season one.
Marvel Studios and Arad Productions in association with Columbia Pictures are shooting the sequel to “The Amazing Spider Man” in upstate New York from April 30, 2013 through May 9, 2013. The extras casting director is seeking adult extras 18-80 years of age, as well as people who have vehicles that they would like to use in the film. These are fully paid positions and extras who appear in scenes with their vehicles receive additional compensation. Action sequences that include car chases and other special effects will be filmed in Rochester, NY during this period.
From the producers of the mega-hit ABC Family series “Pretty Little Liars” comes a brand new spin-off series titled “Ravenswood”. Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television will begin production this summer on the show, and casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are casting the first three main lead roles consisting of three teens. The roles include brother and sister twins, and another teen female. There will be two additional main lead roles cast as well as numerous co-starring and guest starring roles. The extras will be cast in Los Angeles throughout the season which begins shooting in Los Angeles this coming August, 2013.
Universal Television and TBD Productions are in pre-production on a new 1/2 hour multi-camera hybrid 1/2 hour comedy series pilot titled “Holding Patterns”. Casting directors in both Los Angeles and New York are conducting auditions for the series regulars. Possible recurring, guest starring and day player roles will be cast after the main roles are filled. The show will shoot in Los Angeles beginning in April, 2013. The extras casting director will be hiring general background performers throughout production.

Kurtzman/Orci Productions and 20th Century Fox Television are prepping to begin filming the new modern–day supernatural thriller “Sleepy Hollow” based on Washington Irving’s short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Shooting will take place in Charlotte, NC starting on March 11, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles, New York, and Charlotte are holding auditions for starring, guest starring, possible recurring, and day player roles. The show’s background performers are being cast by the Charlotte extras casting director. Television crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in North Carolina.

Gerber Pictures in association with Storyopolisis is in pre-production on the true-story survival drama feature film “Crazy for the Storm” for Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie centers on eleven-year-old Norman Ollestad, who survived a plane crash which left him stranded on an icy mountaintop by using the skills his father instilled in him. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is conducting a national talent search for a 9-11 year old boy to play the lead role. The movie is based on Ollestad’s novel “Crazy for the Storm: A Memoir of Survival”. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles starting April, 2013.
