Universal Pictures is currently holding an open casting call for extras to work on a major feature film with a $100 million dollar budget starring Tom Cruise. Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Walt Disney Pictures have begun principal photography on the star studded feature film “The Lone Ranger”. Shooting is taking place in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah through July 20, 2012. The casting director is seeking Caucasian men and women, Native American men, and Asian men to work as extras. Open casting calls are scheduled for March and April, 2012 in Colorado and Utah. New Mexico open casting calls have already taken place.

“Annie” is Coming to Broadway in Fall, 2012
Casting Society of America Artios Award winning casting director Bernard Telsey of Telsey & Company is holding an open audition in Los Angeles for the 35th Anniversary Broadway revival of the musical “Annie”. Online video submissions are also being accepted. The production is casting girls between the ages of 6 and 12 years to play the roles of Annie and the orphans Molly, Pepper, Duffy, July, Tessie, and Kate. No prior acting experience is necessary, and both union and non-union girls can audition. There are NO fees to attend the open casting call. The production will open in Fall 2012 at one of the Nederlander Organization‘s nine Broadway theatres to be announced.
The star-studded major feature film “Django Unchained” is currently in production and an open casting call for African American men, women, and children in being held near New Orleans, Louisiana on February 15, 2012. Additional casting calls will take place for other ethnic groups and types at a future date. “Django Unchained”, which has been shooting in Mammoth Lakes and Santa Clarita, California and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, will be moving to New Orleans for the duration of filming. Ken Romer of MFT Entertainment, a subsidiary of Swamp Daddy Productions LLC, is currently seeking look-a-likes for President Barack Obama and several other country’s leaders to appear in a national commercial for Pizza Hut. Candidates selected from emailed photo submissions will be invited to attend a casting call in the Detroit, Michigan area. The shoot will take place in the Charter Township of Clinton, MI on a weekday around noon. This is expected to be a relatively short one-day shoot based on the directors estimation.
