The hit Teen Choice Awards nominated CBSreality series “Big Brother 14” is currently holding open casting calls and accepting online applications. This is the first season with the new application process. In addition to casting for the new Houseguests, extras will be cast throughout the season from July through mid to late September, 2012. The extras are audience members in the studio when evicted guests are interviewed by Julie Chen. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, and be a United States Citizen to apply. Big Brother 13 posted its largest audience and highest adults 18-49 rating since 2004.
Disney Channel‘s Roshon Fegan, who plays the role of Ty Blue on “Shake It Up!”, is a contestant on the 14th season of Dancing with the Stars. His partner is Chelsie Hightower. Fans on Twitter wanted to know if he has an advantage over other contestants because he is a cast member of the dance themed Disney Channel original series. Disney Channel has increased Shake It Up’s second season order to 26 episodes. A second soundtrack with songs from the series, “Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance,” will be released tomorrow, on March 20, 2012.

Golden Globe Award nominee Reba McEntire, who is is the best-selling female country artist of all time, is set to star in her second television series, ABC‘s upcoming multi-camera half-hour sitcom “Malibu Country”. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are auditioning actors for series regular and recurring roles. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles, where the show’s extras will be cast.
The hit FX Network Golden Globe Nominated horror-drama series American Horror Story has been renewed for a second season and the award winning casting team is now holding auditions in Los Angeles for series regulars. The show’s format is anthology based, whereas the story, characters, and location for each season is different. The show’s guest stars and extras will be cast throughout the season, which begins shooting July, 2012. The second season of “American Horror Story” will take place in an East Coast mental institution, although filming will take place in Los Angeles.
The Golden Globe nominated USA Network one-hour drama series “Necessary Roughness” is currently casting actors and extras for it’s second season. The show is filmed in Atlanta, GA. Series regulars and guest stars are cast in Los Angeles, with smaller speaking roles cast in Atlanta. All of the extras, and stand-ins are cast in Atlanta. “Necessary Roughness” is under AFTRA contract, however both union and non-union talent can submit.
Disney Channel stars Debby Ryan, China Anne McClain, Laura Marano, Tyler James Williams and Coco Jones (from the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Let It Shine”), and Disney XD‘s Tyrel Jackson Williams (“Lab Rats”) are in New York City, as Disney showcases its current programming, new series and movies to come across each of its kid-driven, family inclusive platforms, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.
