Academy Award winning production company Imagine Entertainment and Seine Pictures in association with Exclusive Media are getting set to begin shooting the true-story feature film “Pele” in September, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are conducting an international talent search seeking an actor or soccer player to play the role of the legendary Pele. Filming will take place in Brazil from September 2, 2013 through October 15, 2013. The film’s extras will be hired locally in Brazil.
ABC Studios in association with Digital 49 Productions and Kitsis/Horowitz will begin shooting season one of the brand new fantasy-drama television series “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” on July 31, 2013. The casting directors have begun sending out casting calls for recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day player roles. Production is taking place at The Bridge Studios in Vancouver and various surrounding locations. The show’s stand-ins, photo-doubles, and extras are being cast locally in the Vancouver area. The series is a spin-off of the popular fairy tale drama series “Once Upon a Time”. Season one will continue shooting through February 17, 2014.
Happy Madison Productions in association with Gulfstream Pictures and Kiki Tree Productions are now filming the romantic comedy feature film “Blended”, and the extras casting director has sent out a casting call for people who are interested in working as fully paid background performers. The production is in need of all ages and types. Shooting is taking place through August 16, 2013 in the Lake Lanier/Buford area northeast of Atlanta, GA.
Walt Disney Pictures in association with Mayhem Pictures are set to begin shooting the feature film “McFarland” in the San Joaquin Valley, California area beginning in September, 2013. The casting director will be auditioning athletic Hispanic men ages 17 to 23 with running experience to recreate an authentic realism of McFarland High Cougars’s 1990’s cross-country team, who became unlikely 9-time California champions. This film was originally scheduled to begin shooting in June, however production was pushed to September.
Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are filming the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film “Transformers 4”, and the casting director has scheduled open casting calls in Chicago for people interested in working on the film as fully paid general extras and possible featured background actors. The open casting calls are for people over 18 years of age, however parents/legal guardians can bring photos on their children for submission. Chicago filming will take place from August 18, 2013 through September 27, 2013.
Bandwagon Entertainment is in pre-production on a brand new Disney Channel comedy series called “I Didn’t Do it”. The pilot episode was shot in January, 2013 and Disney announced that the show was picked up to series on June 18, 2013. The Disney casting directors will be holding auditions for co-starring, recurring, and guest starring roles as well as day players. Extras and stand-ins will be cast throughout the first season. Shooting begins in Los Angeles in August/September 2013. The show will be casting many actors to play high school students, and especially needed will be extras who are 18 and over who can play younger.
Universal Television and Hazy Mills Productions are getting ready to begin production on the third season of the hit NBC supernatural drama television series “Grimm”. The extras casting director has scheduled an open casting call for people who would like to work on the show as fully paid extras and featured background actors. There is no experience required, and all types are needed, ages 18 and over. The series is a single-camera setup that shoots in the Portland, Oregon and surrounding area.
