Television is currently in pre-production on the CW Television Network series “The Carrie Diaries“, which is a prequel to “Sex and the City,” and will follow the character of Carrie Bradshaw during her senior year of High School during the early 1980s and part of her life in New York working as a writer. Several starring roles remain to be cast as well as many smaller speaking roles for teens. Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles and New York. A large number of teen extras will also be hired in New York to portray 1980s high school students.

Working Title Films and Universal Pictures are in pre-production on the British live-action musical film adaptation of “Les Miserables“. The casting directors are auditioning actors for the lead and supporting roles, and smaller roles will be cast afterwards. The extras, stand-ins and photo doubles for the actors will be hired closer to the beginning of principal photography, which will commence in mid-March, 2012.
