From the producers of the mega-hit ABC Family series “Pretty Little Liars” comes a brand new spin-off series titled “Ravenswood”. Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television will begin production this summer on the show, and casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are casting the first three main lead roles consisting of three teens. The roles include brother and sister twins, and another teen female. There will be two additional main lead roles cast as well as numerous co-starring and guest starring roles. The extras will be cast in Los Angeles throughout the season which begins shooting in Los Angeles this coming August, 2013.

Universal Television and TBD Productions are in pre-production on a new 1/2 hour multi-camera hybrid 1/2 hour comedy series pilot titled “Holding Patterns”. Casting directors in both Los Angeles and New York are conducting auditions for the series regulars. Possible recurring, guest starring and day player roles will be cast after the main roles are filled. The show will shoot in Los Angeles beginning in April, 2013. The extras casting director will be hiring general background performers throughout production.

Kurtzman/Orci Productions and 20th Century Fox Television are prepping to begin filming the new modern–day supernatural thriller “Sleepy Hollow” based on Washington Irving’s short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Shooting will take place in Charlotte, NC starting on March 11, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles, New York, and Charlotte are holding auditions for starring, guest starring, possible recurring, and day player roles. The show’s background performers are being cast by the Charlotte extras casting director. Television crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in North Carolina.

Gerber Pictures in association with Storyopolisis is in pre-production on the true-story survival drama feature film “Crazy for the Storm” for Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie centers on eleven-year-old Norman Ollestad, who survived a plane crash which left him stranded on an icy mountaintop by using the skills his father instilled in him. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is conducting a national talent search for a 9-11 year old boy to play the lead role. The movie is based on Ollestad’s novel “Crazy for the Storm: A Memoir of Survival”. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles starting April, 2013.

Television are getting set to begin production on a new science fiction television series pilot ‘The Tomorrow People’ for CW Television Network. Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are holding auditions for series regulars and possible recurring roles, with guest starring and day player roles to be cast subsequently. All of the show’s stand-ins and background extras will be cast in New York throughout production beginning on March 18, 2013.

The show’s casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for series regulars, with additional auditions to take place as soon as the regulars are cast. The stand-ins and background extras will be cast throughout shooting on the series pilot episode, which begins mid-March, 2013 in Los Angeles. There will be a very large number of people hired to play Navy personnel on the show.

The casting director is conducting and online open casting call searching for starring and co-starring roles in the film. Shooting will take place in the Detroit, Michigan area beginning in May, 2013. They are currently looking for a boy who looks between 3-6 years of age and a male who is over 18 and appears to be between 17-19 years of age. Additional roles will be cast through open casting calls.

From the Academy Award winning producers of three Harry Potter films comes the upcoming epic feature film “Christ The Lord,” based on the best-selling novel “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt” by Anne Rice. The casting directors are accepting online self-taped video auditions from boys ages 7-10 to play the starring role of Jesus as a child. Filming begins on March 6, 2013 and will continue through the end of May, 2013. There will also be 2-4 weeks paid rehearsal prior to filming. The shoot will take place in Rome and Matera, Italy. The independent feature film “Something Whispered” is filming around the New Haven, Connecticut area and Northeastern Connecticut from late September to mid-November, 2012. There are two open casting calls scheduled for locals to work as fully paid background performers on the shoot. The casting director in Connecticut is seeking Caucasians, African Americans or Africans at least 18 years of age and able to portray ages 18 to 60. Both SAG-AFTRA members and non union people are welcome to attend. No prior experience working as a film extra is necessary.
