Disney Channel has given a series order to “Girl Meets World,” a spinoff of the hugely popular 90’s ABC television sitcom “Boy Meets World”. The show, which will premiere sometime in 2014, is a continuation of where “Boy Meets World” left off but jumps ahead to present day. Casting for recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day players for “Girl Meets World” will get underway soon. The extras and stand-ins will be hired throughout production on season one.

The MuzArt World Foundation has partnered with the creators of the online drama “Proper Manors” to create a new online show called “Proper Education”. The partnership is intended to bring additional exposure to The MuzArt World Foundation which is focused on ensuring that music and the creative arts are taught in public schools in the United States. An open casting call has been scheduled for middle School and high school students 11-18 years old, females and males, with artistic ability whether it is in the musical, performing arts, singing, dance, band, orchestra, visual arts, photography, filmmaking etc.

Casting has been taking place for the starring roles, and auditions are now underway for the film’s co-starring and supporting roles. Shooting will get underway this Fall, 2013 in the London, England area. Interior filming will take place at the world famous Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. All of the movie’s extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins for the film’s actors will be cast in the United Kingdom.

Jerry Bruckheimer Films is now in production on the Screen Gems supernatural thriller feature film “Beware the Night”, and casting for day player actors and background performers is ongoing. Filming is taking place in the New York City area through August, 2013. All ages and types are being cast as extras. Principal actor casting has been taking place in both Los Angeles and New York. “Beware the Night” is based on the novel of the same name written by sixteen-year NYPD veteran, Ralph Sarchie.

Casting directors for the upcoming feature film “Sweet Cheeks” are holding an open casting call seeking children available to work on the film in the Austin, Texas area. They will be casting two boys with great imaginations and natural wit for the lead roles in the movie. The boys should be extroverted kids who are full of ideas, comfortable around new people and environments, and who like hearing, telling, or creating stories. Kids with interesting faces and timeless, non-modern looks similar to those in “The Little Rascals” are especially encouraged to attend the open call or submit by email. 21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.
Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.
