The hit television series “Army Wives” has been given a 13-episode seventh season order and casting for the show’s starring, co-starring, recurring, and day player acting roles are being cast out of Los Angeles and New York. Additional principal actor casting is being done in Charlotte, South Carolina where shooting takes place. Only Catherine Bell and Kelli Williams have contracts beyond Season 6, and the show’s main star Kim Delaney will not return. Therefore, many new roles are being cast. In addition to the actors, the extras casting director is seeking new submissions from people interested in working as background extras and stand-ins on the show.

Paramount Pictures begins casting new lead roles for ‘Transformers 4’

Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are in development on the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film “Transformers 4“. The casting directors are auditioning actors for the new lead roles in the film, as neither Shia LaBeouf or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are returning. The female lead role is an 18 year old or above who can play high school senior age, and the male lead is an early twenties Texas race car driver who plays the female lead’s boyfriend. Shooting will take place in various locations beginning in April or May of 2013. This film is currently being referred to as “Untitled Transformers Sequel”.

Blondie Girl Productions in association with Hollywood Farms is in pre-production on a new Disney Channel Original Movie titled “Cloud 9”. Casting directors are conducting a talent search for both Los Angeles area actors, as well as out-of-town actors for major roles in the movie. The project is a snowboarding themed telefilm that will shoot in Utah during Winter, 2013. Roles for both teen males and females are being cast, along with roles for their parents and a rich owner of a snowboarding company and ski resort. All of the extras and stand-ins will be hired in Utah throughout filming.

On May 2, 2009 Mine That Bird pulled off the second-biggest upset in Kentucky Derby history by winning the 135th running of the race. Now the true story is being told in a biopic feature film titled “50 to 1”. The movie is in production in Louisville, KY and over 500 extras are being cast to work on the film. The shooting days are likely from October 12th through the 21st. These are fully paid positions with overtime likely, as film shoots commonly run 10-12 hours and longer. No prior experience working as a background performer is necessary, and there are no fees whatsoever to be considered.

Bonanza Productions, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television are set to begin production on a new and exciting television series on July 16, 2012 in Wilmington, NC. The show is called “Revolution”, and is about a group of survivors who have banded together in a land where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Casting for principal actors is ongoing in Los Angeles and North Carolina. The extras casting director is now taking email submissions from people interested in working on the show.

Empire City Productions is set to begin production on the second season of the action-comedy series “Supah Ninjas” for Nickelodeon. The lead, guest starring, and recurring roles are being cast in Los Angeles, while smaller roles and extras are cast in Pittsburgh where filming will take place. An open casting call is scheduled for people ages 18-40 who are experienced martial artists, dancers, and gymnasts to work as stunt people and featured extras. In addition, the casting director is seeking young actors ages 14-19 with theatre experience for speaking roles on the show. Also being cast are teen girls with cheerleading experience. “Supah Ninjas” is also looking for a few interns for the summer to work in the Camera/Production/Art/Costume departments.
