“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” Twentieth Century Fox’s sequel to its blockbuster 2011 hit feature film “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” is set to begin shooting the Louisiana portion of filming in mid-May, 2013. The extras casting director has sent out a casting call for extras to work on the film. With a $93 million budget and over $483 million at the box office, this second film in the reboot series of films is being highly anticipated. Principal actor casting for the film’s lead roles co-starring roles are being cast in New Orleans. New Orleans production will run through July, 2013.
The Millennium Films action thriller feature film “Homefront” is in production in Louisiana, and casting for day player speaking roles and extras will be ongoing through November 21, 2012. The movie, written and produced by Sylvester Stallone, is based on author Chuck Logan‘s crime drama series of novels featuring the character Phil Broker. Filming is taking place in New Orleans, the Westbank suburban area of New Orleans, Thibodaux, among other locations in Louisiana. All types and ages of people are needed to work as background performers, both union and non-union.
