21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.

Apatow Productions and Gary Sanchez Productions are in production on the feature film sequel “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” for Paramount Pictures. The extras casting directors in Atlanta, GA are seeking local people who have floor-length gowns and tuxedos or very nice black suits to work on April 25, 2013. Female talent must also either have a 1970s style haircut or be able to style their hair in a 70s manner. For this formal event scene, the casting directors only want people who have not previously worked on the film. Note: “Anchorman 2” aka “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” is going by the working title “Teaching Manheim”.

The casting director is holding auditions in Los Angeles for principal acting roles, and additional casting for smaller speaking roles will be cast in Atlanta, GA. Filming will take place there from March 4, 2013 through May 17, 2013. The local extras casting team is also hiring stand-ins for the films stars, as well as taking email submissions for general and featured background extras.
