Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck will collaborate again on “Live By Night”.
Appian Way and Pearl Street Films are now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures crime-drama feature film “Live By Night”, which is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. Casting calls have gone out for the first roles to be cast. Ben Affleck will play the lead role in the film as well as produce and direct. Leonardo DiCaprio will also produce. Shooting will begin mid-September 2013 and will take place in Boston, where additional principal actor casting will take place. The stand-ins and extras will be hired throughout production.
Big Kid Pictures in association with Team Downey are gearing up to begin filming on the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film “The Judge” starring Robert Downey Jr. along with an amazing all-star cast. Shooting will take place in Boston, MA and surrounding locations beginning on June 3, 2013. The local casting directors are holding two open casting calls in Massachusetts for people to work on the film as extras, and also for people who have cars and trucks to use in the movie. The open casting calls are being held in the City of Boston, and in the historic Village of Shelburne Falls.
Atlas Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures are set to begin shooting a major feature film in Boston, MA and New York City for Columbia Pictures. Alcon Entertainment and Syncopy in association with Evolutionary Pictures and Straight Up Films are in pre-production on the epic Warner Bros. Pictures sci-fi thriller feature film “Transcendence”. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles and Boston beginning in April, 2013. Two-time Primetime Emmy Award winner and four-time Casting Society of America Artios Award winner John Papsidera is casting the film’s starring and co-starring roles in Los Angeles. Additional principal actor casting will be taking place in Boston. The background performers and stand-ins will be cast locally in Boston. Experienced film crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in Massachusetts.

Lionsgate Productions in association with Kapital Entertainment are ready to begin shooting a new series pilot called “Terminales”. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are auditioning actors for series regulars, co-stars, possible recurring roles, and guest stars. Production is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts starting on November 27, 2012. All of the stand-ins and extras will be cast locally in the Boston area. This is one of four other ABC Family pilots in production. The others are “Socio,” “Phys Ed,” “The Fosters” and “Continuing Fred”.
The HBO Films semi-improvised comedy movie “Clear History” is in production and casting for the film’s extras will be ongoing throughout the shoot which will continue through early November, 2012. The casting director in Boston is seeking children and teen extras, as well as adults. They are also casting teens and adults who are great water skiers. These are fully paid positions, and no prior experience working as a background performer is necessary. Filming is taking place in the North Shore region of Massachusetts.
Twentieth Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment are teaming up for a comedy feature film currently being called “Untitled Female Buddy Cop Movie”. Shooting will take place in the Boston, Massachusetts area from July 5 through September 5, 2012. The extras casting director is holding an open casting call for people who are interested in working as paid background performers on the film. At this time, only non-union extras 18 years of age and older are being sought.
The upcoming coming-of-age Paramount Picturesfeature film “Labor Day” is currently accepting submissions from boys and girls between the ages of 10 – 17 years of age, including a mentally handicapped boy between 12 – 17 years of age. These are for two lead roles and one supporting role to star opposite Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Academy Award nominated Josh Brolin. Shooting will take place in the Boston, MA area starting in June, 2012.
