It’s A Laugh Productions and Poor Soul Productions have begun production on the fourth season of the hit Disney XD comedy series “Kickin’ It”. Casting calls have gone out for new recurring roles, and will continue throughout the season for various characters. In addition to the actor casting calls, the extras are being hired on an ongoing basis. Disney XD announced that the show would be picked up for a fourth season back in August, 2013. Kickin’ It is the network’s highest-rated series in total viewers, and season 3 outperformed Season 2 in all ratings by double-digits. Kickin’ It season 4 is scheduled to air in 2014.
20th Century Fox has given a 13-episode season one order for the new single-camera comedy series “Enlisted”, and the show’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is auditioning actors for guest starring, recurring, and day-player roles. In addition to the ongoing principal actor casting, Central Casting is hiring extras throughout the season in Los Angeles, where shooting will take place from August 15, 2013 through December 1, 2013. All types are being cast, with an emphasis on military types, both male and female.
It’s a Laugh Productions is now in production on season one of the brand new Disney XD live-action superhero comedy series “Mighty Med”. Disney casting directors are beginning to audition actors for series regulars, recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day players. The extras are being hired throughout shooting on the sophomore season, which will continue through November 1, 2013. “Mighty Med” is a multi-camera series that was inspired by the extraordinary world of super heroes and comic books. Shooting takes place in Los Angeles.
Sony Pictures Television in association with Gran Via Productions and Nemo Films are in pre-production on a new one-hour drama series pilot titled “Wild Blue”. The show’s casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for series regulars, with additional auditions to take place as soon as the regulars are cast. The stand-ins and background extras will be cast throughout shooting on the series pilot episode, which begins mid-March, 2013 in Los Angeles. There will be a very large number of people hired to play Navy personnel on the show.

Uptown Productions in association with Schneider’s Bakery, Inc. are now in production on the new comedy series “Sam and Cat” for Nickelodeon Network. The casting director will be auditioning actors throughout the season for recurring roles, co-starring roles, and under five roles. The extras casting director will also be hiring background extras throughout the season. The pilot episode was shot in September, 2012 and Nickelodeon announced a series pickup with an order for 20 episodes on November 29, 2012. The show will premier September 10, 2013 on Nickelodeon.
Prodco is in pre-production on a new comedy series pilot for ABC Family called “Phys Ed“, and auditions are taking place for series regulars, guest stars, and day players. Extras will be cast throughout production which begins in November, 2012. Roles for teachers, parents, and students are being cast in Los Angeles, with some additional casting done in New York. Especially needed are people 18 and older who can play high school age to work as extras on the show. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles.
The ABC Family hit one-hour scripted drama “Switched at Birth” was officially renewed for a second season on August 17, 2012 and the casting director is auditioning actors for recurring, guest starring, and day player speaking roles. In addition to principal actors being cast, extras will be hired throughout the season consisting of at least 20 episodes. The series has become the number one Monday scripted cable television show in females 12-34. The series is set in Kansas City, Missouri, although it is filmed in Los Angeles. The first episode for season two begins shooting on October 22, 2012 at Santa Clarita Studios.
It’s a Laugh Productions is producing the upcoming hour-long Wizards of Waverly Place special for Disney Channel tentatively titled “The Wizards Special”. Casting for guest stars is underway, and the show’s extras will be cast throughout production beginning October 22, 2012. Shooting will take place in Santa Clarita, CA. Disney Channel stated that after the huge ratings of the “Wizards” finale on January 6, 2012, it became obvious that fans of the show were not ready to say farewell to Selena or the rest of the cast. Therefore the cast has agreed to reunite to bring their fans one last grand adventure!

Disney announced on May 18, 2012 that the series was renewed for a second season. One of the current roles being cast in a teen boy who is a possible boyfriend for Bree.
The hit multi-camera 1/2 Hour Disney Channel sitcom “Austin & Ally” is back for it’s second season and the casting directors are holding auditions for co-starring, guest-starring and day player roles. In addition, general background performers are being cast throughout the season. “Austin & Ally” officially premiered on December 4, 2011.
