Appian Way and Pearl Street Films are now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures crime-drama feature film “Live By Night”, which is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. Casting calls have gone out for the first roles to be cast. Ben Affleck will play the lead role in the film as well as produce and direct. Leonardo DiCaprio will also produce. Shooting will begin mid-September 2013 and will take place in Boston, where additional principal actor casting will take place. The stand-ins and extras will be hired throughout production.
Leonardo DiCaprio‘s film production company Appian Way is set to begin shooting the major feature film “Runner, Runner” – and an open casting call is scheduled for June 16th, 2012 in San Juan, Puerto Rico where filming will take place. The movie’s starring and co-starring roles are being cast in Los Angeles, with additional principal actor casting taking place in Puerto Rico. All types of people 18 years of age and older are needed to work as extras, and those interested are encouraged to attend the open casting call.
The star-studded major feature film “Django Unchained” is currently in production and an open casting call for African American men, women, and children in being held near New Orleans, Louisiana on February 15, 2012. Additional casting calls will take place for other ethnic groups and types at a future date. “Django Unchained”, which has been shooting in Mammoth Lakes and Santa Clarita, California and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, will be moving to New Orleans for the duration of filming. Principal photography will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana through April 27, 2012.
Leonardo DiCaprio‘s production company Appian Way, in association with Legendary Pictures and Mad Chance, is set to begin principal photography on the feature film “Akira” this coming spring in Vancouver, BC. Casting is heating up as screen testing is taking place for the lead roles, and the supporting roles will be cast soon. The extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins for the film’s stars will be cast in Vancouver.
The feature film “The Great Gatsby” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire will be filming for 17 weeks beginning mid-late September 2011 near Sydney and Moore Park, New South Wales, Australia. The casting directors are casting supporting roles, day players, extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins to work various dates during production. Over 400 cast and crew are being employed during principal photography.
After a fierce bidding war with Warner Bros. Pictures and Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Appian Way, Paramount Pictures and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment have acquired movie rights to the Max Brooks novel “World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War.” Principal actor casting is currently taking place in Los Angeles, with additional casting to happen in the UK.
