The Starz original series “Magic City” has been picked up for a second season and there will be an open casting call for talent to work as “core” background actors on multiple days per episode. The casting director will be booking paid wardrobe fittings and workdays on the spot. All types 18 years of age and older are needed especially people with a late 50s – early 60s look. Principal actor casting takes place in Los Angeles and New York, with additional smaller speaking roles cast in Miami. All extras and stand-ins are cast in Miami.
Universal Pictures is currently holding an open casting call for extras to work on a major feature film with a $100 million dollar budget starring Tom Cruise. Background performers who wish to be considered should attend the casting call, however emailed submissions are being accepted also. Shooting will take place mostly in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Additional filming will take place in Los Angeles, New York, and the country of Iceland. Principal photography will begin on March 19, 2012 and continue through August 12, 2012.
Production is underway in Miami, Florida on the Starz Originals series, Magic City. James Bond 007 insiders are saying that production should start on the next installment of the film series towards the middle of next year. The current working title is “Bond 23” – named for the 23rd film is the series. The British newspapers also indicate Bond 23 is now casting.
