Berlanti Television and Bonanza Productions in association with Fremantlemedia and Warner Bros. Television are getting set to begin production on a new science fiction television series pilot ‘The Tomorrow People’ for CW Television Network. Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are holding auditions for series regulars and possible recurring roles, with guest starring and day player roles to be cast subsequently. All of the show’s stand-ins and background extras will be cast in New York throughout production beginning on March 18, 2013.
Warner Bros. Television in association with Bonanza Productions and Alloy Entertainment are in pre-production on a new series titled “The Originals”, which will be a spinoff from the hit CW series “The Vampire Diaries“. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for the series regulars, which include an over 18 actress who can play a 16 year old witch, an early 20’s female student who is intrigued by the deviance of the French Quarter, a late 20s early 30s female witch, and Klaus’ diabolical former protégé Marcel who is late 20s early 30s. Shooting begins March 6, 2013 and will take place in New Orleans and Atlanta.

Universal Cable Productions in association with Hypnotic are now in pre-production on an exciting new drama series pilot for USA Network, currently using the working title of “Untitled Falacci/Heuton Pilot”. Casting notices have gone out in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Miami for principal actor speaking roles. In addition, the local extras casting director in Miami is holding an open casting call for featured and general background performers of all ages. Although the open casting call is for people 18 years of age and older, minors can submit via email for consideration. Shooting will take place entirely in Miami, FL beginning January 14, 2013.

The hit television series “Army Wives” has been given a 13-episode seventh season order and casting for the show’s starring, co-starring, recurring, and day player acting roles are being cast out of Los Angeles and New York. Additional principal actor casting is being done in Charlotte, South Carolina where shooting takes place. Only Catherine Bell and Kelli Williams have contracts beyond Season 6, and the show’s main star Kim Delaney will not return. Therefore, many new roles are being cast. In addition to the actors, the extras casting director is seeking new submissions from people interested in working as background extras and stand-ins on the show.
The new drama series “Chicago Fire” has been picked up for season one by NBC, which made the announcement in May, 2012. The show follows the lives of the firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department – firehouse of Engine 55, Truck 81, Squad 3, Medic 61, and Battalion 25. The show’s starring, co-starring, and guest starring roles are being cast out of New York, with additional principal actor casting in Chicago where shooting will take place. All of the stand-ins and extras will be hired in the Chicago area. The show begins production in July, 2012.
