‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ producers are leaving “no stone unturned” in casting the lead roles.
Lucasfilm, an owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, in association with Bad Robot Productions, Genre Films, and Kasdan Pictures are in pre-production on the highly anticipated epic Science fiction feature film “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Disney casting directors have now issued a new casting call seeking a 35-45 year old military type male, who can pull of a character similar to Matt Damons character in the TriStar Pictures sci-fi thriller feature film “Elysium”.

Disney casting directors are searching for two young actors to play lead roles in the Walt Disney Pictures/Lucasfilm “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Six casting director meet-and-greet sessions have been scheduled across the United States and United Kingdom to scout talent for two lead roles, one young female and on young male. In addition to the in-person casting director meet-and-greet sessions, audition video submissions are being accepted at the only official casting webpage that has been set up by Disney Casting director Maryellen Aviano.

Despite the recent change in writers, shooting will still commence on January 21, 2014. Casting calls have been issued and auditions are taking place for starring and co-starring roles. The primary filming locations will be at Pinewood Studios in the UK, with additional shooting in New Mexico, and in Los Angeles. J.J. Abrams has constructed production facilities at his Bad Robot Santa Monica headquarters specifically for Star Wars: Episode VII. The extras will be cast throughout production in London and New Mexico. Film crew resumes can be submitted via email to the production office.

Fifth Mate Productions and Jerry Bruckheimer Films are now in pre-production on the Walt Disney Pictures fantasy adventure comedy feature film “Pirates of the Caribbean 5”. The Casting Society of America Artios Award winning casting director is set to begin holding auditions for lead and supporting roles. Shooting will take place in Louisiana, Los Angeles, and Hawaii among other locations beginning January 27, 2013 and will continue through July 3, 2014. “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 10, 2015.
Wheatfield Productions and Kimball Technologies Productions are set to begin filming the Walt Disney Picturesfeature film “Tomorrowland” in August, 2013. The casting directors are accepting submissions from talent for major supporting roles in the film. The roles include several children as well as adults. Production will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia where the extras and stand-ins will be cast throughout the shoot. All ages, types, and ethnicities can register to be considered for extra work.

Roth Films in association with Mayhem Pictures is now in production on the Walt Disney Pictures true-story live-action feature film “Million Dollar Arm,” about a sports agent who discovered baseball pitchers amongst cricket players in India by staging a reality show to discover new talent. The casting team is holding an open casting call in Atlanta, GA for all types of people to work as fully paid background performers. The Atlanta portion of filming will begin in June, 2013. Filming has previously taken place in Mumbai, India.
Roth Films in association with Mayhem Pictures is getting ready to start production on the Walt Disney Pictures true-story live-action feature film “Million Dollar Arm,” about a sports agent who discovered baseball pitchers amongst cricket players in India by staging a reality show to discover new talent. The Primetime Emmy award winningDisney casting veteran has issued a nationwide casting call for lead roles in the film. Also being cast are supporting, and smaller speaking roles. Filming gets underway May 6, 2013 and will take place in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and in India.
Walt Disney Pictures and Wheatfield Productions are in pre-production on an exciting new live action sci-fi feature film called “Tomorrowland”. Kapital Entertainment is prepping to begin production on a new 1/2 hour comedy series pilot for ABC titled “Pulling“. Shooting on the single-camera show will get underway mid-March at the ABC Studios in Los Angeles. Casting directors in both Los Angeles and New York are auditioning actors for series regulars, guest starring, possible recurring, and under-5 roles. The extras casting director will hire background performers throughout production. “Pulling” is based on the hugely popular British sitcom of the same name.
Uptown Productions is getting ready to begin production on a brand new series “The Thundermans” for Nickelodeon Netwok. The show’s casting directors are auditioning actors for the series regulars, guest stars, possible recurring, and under-5 roles. Shooting will begin in mid-February, and the extras will be cast at that time and throughout production in Los Angeles. The pilot for this live-action show was shot back in October, 2012.
