Danni Productions and Ole’ Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television Production are now in pre-production on the brand new science fiction romance series “Star-Crossed”, and casting calls will be going out for series regulars, guest starring, and recurring roles. Additional casting for smaller speaking roles will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana where shooting on the series will take place from August 18th through December 1st, 2013. The show’s extras will be cast locally throughout production on the first season.
Appian Way and Pearl Street Films are now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures crime-drama feature film “Live By Night”, which is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. Casting calls have gone out for the first roles to be cast. Ben Affleck will play the lead role in the film as well as produce and direct. Leonardo DiCaprio will also produce. Shooting will begin mid-September 2013 and will take place in Boston, where additional principal actor casting will take place. The stand-ins and extras will be hired throughout production.

Pictures sci-fi thriller feature film “Transcendence” starring Johnny Depp. Shooting will take place in New Mexico beginning mid-July. Two-time Primetime Emmy Award winner and four-time Casting Society of America Artios Award winner John Papsidera has cast the film’s starring and co-starring roles in Los Angeles. Now the extras casting director has issued a casting call for all ages and types in New Mexico.
Big Kid Pictures in association with Team Downey are gearing up to begin filming on the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film “The Judge” starring Robert Downey Jr. along with an amazing all-star cast. Shooting will take place in Boston, MA and surrounding locations beginning on June 3, 2013. The local casting directors are holding two open casting calls in Massachusetts for people to work on the film as extras, and also for people who have cars and trucks to use in the movie. The open casting calls are being held in the City of Boston, and in the historic Village of Shelburne Falls.
Disney has officially already approved plans for a sequel film to “Oz the Great and Powerful“. James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams are all signed on for multiple sequels. Mitchell Kapner was contracted several months ago to write the screenplay for the next film in the Oz franchise. Aside from writing the screenplay for “Oz the Great and Powerful,” Kapner wrote screenplays for the Warner Bros. Pictures feature films “The Whole Nine Yards” and “The Whole Ten Yards” both starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry, “Romeo Must Die” starring Jet Li, and the MGM Home Entertainment direct-to-video “Into the Blue 2: The Reef“.

Experienced film crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in Massachusetts.
Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Disruption Entertainment are in pre-production on the huge big-budget epic feature film “Godzilla”, and shooting is scheduled to begin on March 14, 2013 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The film’s casting directors in Los Angeles and Canada are holding auditions for several starring roles. These roles are for boys ages 3 – 11 years of age. The youngest is a Caucasian boy to play a 4 year old, the middle one is a Japanese boy to play 6 years of age, and the oldest is another Caucasian boy to play 10 years old. The actors do not have to be these exact ages, but can be a year older or younger. The extras will be cast in Vancouver close to the start of filming, which will run through June 22, 2013.
“Prisoners” is scheduled to hit theaters September 20, 2013.

Alcon Entertainment in association with 8:38 Productions and Madhouse Entertainment are currently in pre-production on the crime thriller feature film “Prisoners” for Warner Bros. Pictures. Filming will begin in January, 2013 in Conyers, GA which is twenty four miles east of Atlanta. The local casting director is holding an open casting call seeking men and women of any ethnicity, ages 18 and over, with or without experience working as a movie extra. There are also some speaking roles being cast locally. The film is scheduled to be released on September 20, 2013.
The Warner Bros. Pictures supernatural drama feature film “Winter’s Tale” is set to begin filming on October 29, 2012 in New York. Principal actor casting is taking place in New York, as well as all extra casting. The film is based on the bestselling 1983 novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. It is a fantasy story set in 19th Century and present-day Manhattan that revolves around a thief, a dying girl, and a flying white horse. The film originally had a $75 million budget, however the studio dropped the budget to $46 million. Shooting runs from October 29, 2012 through January 30, 2013.
Bonanza Productions in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television are now in production on the long awaited DC Comics superhero television series “Arrow,” and auditions are taking place for guest starring, recurring, and day player roles in Los Angles and Vancouver. The show’s extras and stand-ins are being hired in Vancouver, where shooting is taking place through December 4th, 2012. “Arrow” is based on characters appearing in comic books and graphic novels published by DC Comics, more specifically “Green Arrow“.
