Major feature film ‘Last Vegas’ seeking extras in Atlanta

Mandate Pictures and Four Fellas Productions in association with Laurence Mark Productions and Good Universe are in production on the comedy feature film “Last Vegas”, shooting in Atlanta, GA. The local casting directors are seeking a large number of extras to work on the film in December. In addition to the extras being cast, there are also roles for featured players at a higher pay rate. Principal actor casting took place in Los Angeles, with additional speaking roles being cast in Atlanta. Filming will continue through December 22, 2012. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 20, 2013.

ABC Studios is getting set to begin shooting a new single-camera 1/2 hour comedy series pilot titled “Trophy Wife”. Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are auditioning talent for a variety of roles, including series regulars, co-starring, guest starring, possible recurring, and day player roles. In addition to the principal actor roles being cast, many extras will be hired throughout the shoot which will take place beginning December 3rd in Los Angeles. There are speaking and non-speaking roles for teens and adults.

Marc Platt Productions and Phantasma Films in association with Bold Films are in pre-production on the feature film “How To Catch a Monster” written and directed by Ryan Gosling. The casting director is conducting and online open casting call searching for starring and co-starring roles in the film. Shooting will take place in the Detroit, Michigan area beginning in May, 2013. They are currently looking for a boy who looks between 3-6 years of age and a male who is over 18 and appears to be between 17-19 years of age. Additional roles will be cast through open casting calls.

Freedom Films in association with Nome Productions are now in pre-production on the upcoming true story adventure feature film “Race to Save Nome,” based on the Great Race of Mercy – also known as the 1925 serum run to Nome. An open casting call is scheduled for all types, ages 8 – 70, males and females. There are some speaking roles being cast, as well as numerous extras. Shooting will take place from January 14, 2013 through April 4, 2013 in the Morley, Alberta area of Canada which is about 30 miles from Calgary. Second-unit production filming will also take place in Alaska.

Bandwagon Entertainment has been given a series pilot order by Disney Channel for a new sitcom titled “I Didn’t Do it”. Auditions are underway for the series regulars and possible recurring roles. Extras and stand-ins will be hired starting early January, 2013 when shooting begins in Los Angeles. There are many roles for actors to play high school students, especially needed will be extras who are 18 and over who can play younger. The 1/2 hour show centers around a pair of fourteen year old fraternal twins and their dubious tales, with stories told in reverse menology.

From the Academy Award winning producers of three Harry Potter films comes the upcoming epic feature film “Christ The Lord,” based on the best-selling novel “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt” by Anne Rice. The casting directors are accepting online self-taped video auditions from boys ages 7-10 to play the starring role of Jesus as a child. Filming begins on March 6, 2013 and will continue through the end of May, 2013. There will also be 2-4 weeks paid rehearsal prior to filming. The shoot will take place in Rome and Matera, Italy.
