Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures are gearing up to begin filming the upcoming reboot Paramount Pictures sci-fi action-adventure thriller feature film “Terminator” in January, 2013. A top industry production report has shown a working title of “Terminator: Genesis”, while other industry trades are calling it simply “Terminator 5”. The Casting Society of America Artios award winning casting director is now on the search for actors to play the roles of Sarah Connor and John Connor.

Disney casting directors have now issued a new casting call seeking a 35-45 year old military type male, who can pull of a character similar to Matt Damons character in the TriStar Pictures sci-fi thriller feature film “Elysium”.

Disney XD casting calls underway for Kickin’ It season four actors and extras

It’s A Laugh Productions and Poor Soul Productions have begun production on the fourth season of the hit Disney XD comedy series “Kickin’ It”. Casting calls have gone out for new recurring roles, and will continue throughout the season for various characters. In addition to the actor casting calls, the extras are being hired on an ongoing basis. Disney XD announced that the show would be picked up for a fourth season back in August, 2013. Kickin’ It is the network’s highest-rated series in total viewers, and season 3 outperformed Season 2 in all ratings by double-digits. Kickin’ It season 4 is scheduled to air in 2014.

The primetime television soap opera “Dallas” is back in production on its third season, which has been renewed for a 15 episode third season run by TNT. The casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are auditioning new series regulars, recurring roles, guest stars, and day players. Additional speaking roles are being cast locally in Dallas, TX. All of the extras are cast in Texas, where shooting takes place. Actors can submit headshots and resumes to the casting directors, and extras can submit via email.

Marvel Studios, an owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, is currently in pre-production on the action sci-fi feature films “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man”. The Disney casting director (contracted by Disney’s Marvel Studios) has been sending out casting notices as “Untitled Marvel Project”, leading many to speculate that the casting is for “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” or “Ant-Man”. Indeed it is the same casting director that holds auditions for both films. Casting calls are now underway, and the filming schedules for both films are now available.

Disney casting kids, teens, and adults for new comedy series ‘Super Awesome Katy’

Disney casting directors are now searching for kids and teens who can play various series regular roles between the ages of 12 and 16. The show that is being cast is a brand new Disney Channel multi-camera 1/2 hour comedy series called “Super Awesome Katy”. She show will begin shooting in January, 2014. Many other guest starring and recurring roles, including adult roles, will also be cast prior to the start of shooting, as well as during the season. Casting for Disney Channel on this project is being done by the Casting Society of America Artios Award nominated casting director Suzanne Goddard-Smythe and Ty Harman. They are conducting auditions in Los Angeles, CA. The extras will be cast throughout production on season one.

Disney casting directors are searching for two young actors to play lead roles in the Walt Disney Pictures/Lucasfilm “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Six casting director meet-and-greet sessions have been scheduled across the United States and United Kingdom to scout talent for two lead roles, one young female and on young male. In addition to the in-person casting director meet-and-greet sessions, audition video submissions are being accepted at the only official casting webpage that has been set up by Disney Casting director Maryellen Aviano.

Despite the recent change in writers, shooting will still commence on January 21, 2014. Casting calls have been issued and auditions are taking place for starring and co-starring roles. The primary filming locations will be at Pinewood Studios in the UK, with additional shooting in New Mexico, and in Los Angeles. J.J. Abrams has constructed production facilities at his Bad Robot Santa Monica headquarters specifically for Star Wars: Episode VII. The extras will be cast throughout production in London and New Mexico. Film crew resumes can be submitted via email to the production office.
