Disney casting directors are now searching for kids and teens who can play various series regular roles between the ages of 12 and 16. The show that is being cast is a brand new Disney Channel multi-camera 1/2 hour comedy series called “Super Awesome Katy”. She show will begin shooting in January, 2014. Many other guest starring and recurring roles, including adult roles, will also be cast prior to the start of shooting, as well as during the season. Casting for Disney Channel on this project is being done by the Casting Society of America Artios Award nominated casting director Suzanne Goddard-Smythe and Ty Harman. They are conducting auditions in Los Angeles, CA. The extras will be cast throughout production on season one.

NBC Universal is holding an open casting call for the upcoming three-hour live staging and telecast of the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical “The Sound of Music”. The casting call is for boys and girls who can play roles between the ages of 6-14. The characters being cast are the seven Von Trapp Children. NBC will air the live broadcast on December 5, 2013. The casting team is seeking kids who are very good dancers with excellent acting skills.

Brand new Disney XD comedy series ‘Neckpee Island’ casting calls underway for child and adult roles

Disney XD has given the green light to begin production on a brand new half-hour comedy series pilot titled “Neckpee Island”. The casting directors have now sent out casting calls for series regulars and guest starring roles, for both child roles between 12-14 years old, and for adults of various ages. The extras will be cast throughout production, which will begin in mid-October, 2013. There will be a fairly large amount of kids cast as extras to play middle school students. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles.

Gerber Pictures is now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures true-story action survival feature film “Crazy For The Storm” based on the bestselling novel “Crazy For The Storm: A Memoir Of Survival” by Norman Ollestad. A massive talent search has been taking place since February, 2013 for a boy who can play 11 year-old Norman Ollestad. The talent search included online video submissions accepted through Cast It Talent. However, the right boy was not discovered and new casting director information is now available.

The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.

The extras casting director is seeking adult extras 18-80 years of age, as well as people who have vehicles that they would like to use in the film. These are fully paid positions and extras who appear in scenes with their vehicles receive additional compensation. Action sequences that include car chases and other special effects will be filmed in Rochester, NY during this period.

Uptown Productions and Bischoff Hervey Entertainment in association with Katlin/Bernstein Productions and Nickelodeon Productions are now in production on the second season of the hit multi-camera live-action family comedy series “See Dad Run”. The network has ordered 20 new episodes, and the show’s Primetime Emmy Award winning casting director is holding auditions for recurring, guest starring, and under-5 roles. The extras are being cast throughout the season, which will run through Summer, 2013. The series, which stars Scott Baio, is filmed on the Paramount Studios lot in the old “Happy Days” sound stage. Season two filming begins in March, 2013. The show airs Sundays at 8pm ET/PT on Nick at Nite.
